The Canaries comprise three quarters of now-defunct Toronto-based band The Plastic Folk. Their sound is a mixture of rock, country and roots with an edge that can best be described as the sound of a group with a huge and widely varied love of music. Chart Attack described their Canadian Music Week performance this way: “The best part of the night. These guys know how to play and are making some very nice sounds. Comfortable up there, not too much attitude. Accumulatively, these guys must have an AMAZING record collection. All four members are immaculate musicians and have a wealth of live experience under their belts.
