Who we are
Watstock is a product of Feynman Labs. This policy covers watstock.com, the research desk at this origin, and the mobile app that talks to the same API. It does not cover your bank, Stripe’s own account pages, or data vendors we license (Massive, World Monitor, Mux, and similar).
What we collect
- Account. Name, email, password hash. We send a verification mail so we know the inbox is yours. We do not store the password in the clear.
- Session. A signed session cookie (and, in some shells, a bearer token) so you stay signed in on this origin.
- Desk use. Paper book, watchlist, alerts, tickets you generate, and chat questions you send the book. These live with your account so a refresh does not drop the desk.
- Billing. Stripe handles cards. We keep the customer id, plan, and whether Pro is active. We do not see full card numbers.
- Contact form. Name, email, and the message you write. We keep that only as long as we need to reply.
- Technical logs. Ordinary server logs (time, path, status). We do not sell a tracking profile.
How we use it
To run the desk: sign you in, score the book, attach Pro to the email on the Stripe receipt, send verification and (if you ask) replies. We do not sell personal data. We do not use it to execute trades — we never hold funds or send orders to a market.
Who we share with
Processors who run the product: hosting, Postgres, Amazon SES for mail, Stripe for payment, Mux for Studio playback, and the market/geo vendors named on Methodology. They see only what that job requires. We may disclose if the law requires it.
How long
Account and paper book last as long as the account does. Closed accounts we delete or anonymise once billing and legal hold are done. Scoreboard calls are a public record of the desk, not of you; they stay.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, or delete the personal data we hold, or to close the account. Use the contact form. If you live in a place with extra statutory rights (including GDPR or similar), we will honour the ones that apply.
Cookies
Essential cookies run the session. We do not run a third-party advertising cookie on the desk. Turning those session cookies off signs you out.
